NASDPTS Members, NASDPTS, as an active member of the American School Bus Council (ASBC), encourages all NASDPTS members to support and participate in ASBC’s annual Love The Bus (LTB) program. Since the program’s inception three years ago, LTB has gained acceptance and enthusiasm throughout the school bus community as an effective means to spread the message about the value of the yellow school bus to students, parents and the community. The LTB program provides an opportunity to present the value of the yellow school bus to students, parents and the community by emphasizing the benefits of riding the bus: • Safe Transportation • Safe Vehicles • Safe Drivers • Environmental Benefits • Traffic Benefits • Academic Benefits Attached you will find: (1) Template Press Release for local media market use, and (2) Love The Bus toolkit that includes updated materials to assist states and local school districts participate in LTB activities.
